BUILD A FLEXIBLE CAREER
Real estate offers the opportunity to build a career around your goals. Whether you are looking for a full-time profession, a career change, or an additional source of income, a real estate license can create new possibilities.
CREATE UNLIMITED INCOME POTENTIAL
Your earning potential isn't tied to a traditional hourly wage. Successful real estate professionals can build their income through knowledge, hard work, relationships, and exceptional client service.
HELP PEOPLE MAKE IMPORTANT DECISIONS
Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions many people will ever make. As a real estate professional, you have the opportunity to educate, guide, and advocate for clients throughout that process.
BUILD A CAREER THAT CAN GROW WITH YOU
A real estate license can lead to opportunities in residential sales, rentals, investment property, property management, commercial real estate, brokerage, and more.
R-Pal Real Estate Academy provides the education, practical knowledge, and real-world instruction to help you take the first step with confidence.
1. MEET THE BASIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 18 years old and meet the current eligibility requirements established by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.
2. COMPLETE THE REQUIRED 40-HOUR PRE-LICENSING COURSE
Complete 40 hours of Massachusetts salesperson pre-licensing education through a Board-approved real estate school. Upon successful completion, you will receive the required education certificate.
3. COMPLETE YOUR LICENSING APPLICATION
Complete the required application process and obtain three candidate endorsements from individuals who are not related to you. Classmates known only through your real estate course may not provide the endorsements.
4. PASS THE MASSACHUSETTS REAL ESTATE SALESPERSON EXAM
Schedule and successfully pass the Massachusetts real estate salesperson licensing examination.
5. RECEIVE YOUR LICENSE & START YOUR CAREER
After passing the examination and completing the applicable licensing requirements and payment, you can receive your Massachusetts salesperson license and begin your real estate career. The Board's FAQ says licensing occurs at the test center after passing and payment.

Already licensed in another state? Massachusetts may provide a licensing pathway for real estate professionals who hold a current license in another jurisdiction, depending on the applicable reciprocity rules and current state requirements.
RECIPROCITY REQUIREMENTS CAN CHANGE
Eligibility, examinations, applications, fees, and documentation requirements may vary depending on the state in which you are currently licensed.
PLANNING TO PRACTICE IN ANOTHER STATE?
A Massachusetts real estate license does not automatically authorize you to practice real estate in another state. Each state establishes its own licensing and reciprocity requirements.
VERIFY CURRENT REQUIREMENTS
Before applying for a reciprocal license, always confirm the current requirements with the appropriate state real estate licensing authority.
